Horsebox Ends Up In Ditch Causing Delays On Cowes Diversion Route

A horsebox has come to rest in a ditch on Whitehouse Road this afternoon (Monday), causing delays on the main diversion route to Cowes.

The incident was spotted by motorists at around 3pm, with traffic heading out of Cowes towards Forest Road affected due to the vehicle’s precarious position.

No other vehicles are believed to be involved, and thankfully no injuries have been reported.

It’s currently unclear how the horsebox ended up in the ditch, with recovery expected to be needed to remove the vehicle and fully clear the route.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for journeys in the area.
