Football fans on the Isle of Wight are being promised a night to remember as the final Southampton Legends squad has been confirmed for the upcoming charity clash against Isle of Wight Legends.
The highly anticipated fixture takes place on Friday 8th May at Westwood Park in Cowes.
Organisers have announced three major additions to the Southampton side: Franny Benali MBE, Steven Davis and James Beattie.
Benali remains one of the club’s most iconic figures, while Davis arrives as Northern Ireland’s record appearance holder.
Beattie adds proven Premier League experience and a strong goalscoring record.
They join a star-studded squad that already includes Anders Svensson, Sweden’s most capped player.
Between Svensson and Davis alone, the squad boasts a combined 289 international caps, underlining the calibre of players set to take to the pitch.
Southampton FC CEO Phil Parsons will also be in attendance on the night.
The full Southampton Legends squad features Antti Niemi, Dan Harding, Aaron Martin, Michael Svensson, Franny Benali MBE, Anders Svensson, Matt Oakley, Steven Davis, Andrew Surman, Rickie Lambert, James Beattie, Jo Tessem, Kevin Gibbens, Nicky Banger, Andy Cook, Mark Blake, Brian Howard and Reuben Agboola.
On the other side, the Isle of Wight Legends squad brings together a mix of local talent and familiar Island names, including Mark Isaacson, Paul O’Connor, Simon Pilcher and Glenn Howes, alongside Adam Millar, Andy Butler, Darren Powell, Gary Streeter, and others.

Former professional Lee Bradbury will not be playing due to injury but will still be involved on the night with the Island side.
The event will be hosted by Saints legend Mark Dennis, helping to create a lively atmosphere both on and off the pitch.
Following a sell-out last time, organisers are once again expecting a capacity crowd of around 2,000. Tickets must be bought in advance, with no sales available on the gate.
Island player Iain Seabrook said:
“It’s going to be an unbelievable occasion again. The last game was special, but hopefully we can get the win this time.”
Mark Isaacson added simply:
“I can’t wait… Up the Port!”
With big names, local pride and a strong demand for tickets, another packed night of football is expected on the Island.
