Delays In Lake And Sandown Due To Emergency Water Works

Motorists in Lake and Sandown are being warned of delays today (Friday) after part of Lake Hill was closed for emergency Southern Water repairs.

The closure, at the pedestrian crossing outside Tesco Express, follows an overnight leak.

Southern Water teams are currently on site carrying out repairs.

Traffic can still travel down Lake Hill, but journeys towards Ryde Bus Station are being diverted via Perowne Way by Southern Vectis buses.

It’s not yet known how complex the repair will be or how long the works will take.
