Christmas Comes Early To Newport As Town Centre Hosts Festive Family Day

Newport town centre sparkled as it kicked off the festive season with a day of Christmas celebration on Saturday 15 November.

The free, family-friendly event — organised by Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council — saw the town transformed into a winter wonderland packed with live music, festive fun, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Visitors enjoyed free fairground rides, circus workshops, and a range of festive activities spread across the town centre — all leading up to the big Christmas lights switch-on with Santa at 6pm.
