Bembridge CE Primary School has upheld its strong Ofsted outcomes, with inspectors praising pupils for achieving well and enjoying a wide range of enrichment opportunities.

The village school was visited on 1 and 2 July, and Ofsted confirmed it continues to be rated Good overall, with Outstanding for behaviour and attitudes — the same outcome as its last inspection in December 2019.

Inspectors said the school’s values of “love, courage and respect” were evident throughout daily life, with staff ambitious for all pupils, including those with special educational needs.

Opportunities in sport, art and drama were highlighted, with clubs ranging from football and tag rugby to fencing.

The report noted one area for improvement — ensuring pupils consistently secure the subject-specific vocabulary they need to achieve their best.

Acting headteacher Theresa Wall said she was “absolutely delighted” with the outcome:

“The report highlights the school’s ambition for all children and recognises our ongoing commitment to improvement and development, with children firmly at the heart of everything we do.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Bembridge Primary for their dedication and hard work, and to the wider community for their continued support.”
