Air Ambulance Lands In Ryde Following Serious Medical Emergency

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been called to Ryde this morning (Friday) to assist with a serious medical emergency at a sheltered housing complex.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was alerted shortly before 7.25am to reports of a life-threatening incident at The London on Well Street.
A critical care paramedic and an ambulance crew were dispatched to the scene.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service also attended, with one appliance from Ryde Fire Station sent to provide support.
The air ambulance later landed in the grounds of Ryde School to assist emergency crews as they continue to care for a critically ill patient.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service said:
"A crew from Ryde were called to support ambulance paramedics at an incident on Well Street shortly after 7am.
"HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 08:06am."
