Air Ambulance Called To Medical Emergency In St Helens

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was called to a medical emergency in St Helens this morning (Tuesday).

The helicopter landed on St Helens Green at around 11.20am to assist Isle of Wight Ambulance Service crews responding to an incident at a property on Station Road.

A man reported to be in a life-threatening condition was being treated by critical care paramedics from both the air ambulance and land ambulance teams.

Two ambulance crews and two appliances from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.

Privacy screens were erected outside the property while emergency services treated the patient.

It is not yet known whether the man will be taken to hospital by road or air ambulance.
