A funny, feel-good musical full of toe-tapping tunes, brought to you by the team that brought you 'Priscilla: Queen of the Desert' (2018).
More Information (Isle of Wight Radio is not responsible for external websites)
Boasting a groovy 1960s score by Cy Coleman, including well-known songs ‘Big Spender’, ‘If My Friends Could See Me Now’, ‘I’m A Brass Band’ and ‘Rhythm Of Life’, plus sparkling lyrics by Dorothy Fields and a hilarious book by Neil Simon, Sweet Charity captures all the humour and heartbreak of Big City life for an unfortunate but unstoppable optimist.
With Director Sarah Scotcher, Musical Director Kim Ball and Choreographers Cheryl & Izzi Rudd – the team that brought you Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2016) and Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (2018) – at the helm, Sweet Charity promises to be a musical adventure you’ll never forget.
As always, The Wight Strollers will be donating their show proceeds – so gather your friends and families, and help raise money for Island charities with Sweet Charity!
