A major step has been taken towards securing the future of the historic Hythe Ferry, with its assets acquired by The Hythe Pier Company following the service's collapse earlier this year.

The ferry, owned by Red Funnel, has been out of operation for the past 18 months while attempts were made to find a sustainable solution.
