Isle of Wight East MP Joe Robertson has challenged Government plans to apply a new emissions levy to Solent ferry routes, warning it could push costs even higher for Islanders.

The scheme, due to take effect in summer 2026, is expected to cost operators such as Wightlink up to £1 million a year.
