Isle of Wight singer, Ruby, will perform at the iconic HMV record store in Southampton this evening (Friday).

The 18 year-old singer-songwriter, who studies at Newport's Platform One Music College, released her debut single in December in memory of her late grandfather, who wrote the track 50 years prior.

You can listen to the single, Christmas Time, here:

Ruby has also performed at the Isle of Wight Festival, Warrior Festival and the Isle of Wight Story Festival.

HMV Southampton - which is one of over 100 HMV stores in the UK - will host Ruby and her band among hundreds of records, CDs and DVDs.

Speaking ahead of her appearance at the iconic shop, Ruby said:

“It’s an honour to be able to perform at HMV — it’s my first mainland gig and it’ll be amazing!”
