Weekend Weather Warning Issued For Island With Heavens Set To Open Again

A further weather warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for the Isle of Wight.

The warning will be in place between 2am and 10am tomorrow morning (Saturday).

The Island is likely to see rainfall totals of up to 25mm over the next 24 hours.

November 2023 was Europe's wettest November on record according to ERA5 reanalysis (since 1940) with total precipitation exceeding 1.5 times the 1991-2020 average, and it appears that this month may follow suit.

Rain is forecast for the next few days, although it is unlikely to be as heavy on Sunday as in the days before:
