Coronavirus: UK Case Numbers Rise Again As Confirmed Isle Of Wight Figures Stay The Same

The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus on the Isle of Wight remains at one according to the government, as UK-wide figures take another daily surge. Public Health England has released its COVID-19 case numbers for Saturday (14). The number of those diagnosed with the virus has reached four-digits for the first time, with 1,140 people confirmed to be carrying it. In total, 21 people have died in the UK according to NHS figures. On the Island, there is still only one confirmed case. Yesterday (Friday), a preschool in East Cowes said it was closing for a deep clean. Meanwhile, the regulator of the Isle of Wight’s ferry operators said it will allow passengers to remain in their vehicles while onboard.
