Another Accolade For Wight Knuckle Brewery At National Independent Beer Awards

Wight Knuckle Brewery is proud to announce its latest triumph at the prestigious SIBA Independent Beer Awards.

Following their recent South Eastern Gold Award, the brewery's Pale Ale has now secured a coveted Silver in the session pale category at the national level, positioning Wight Knuckle Brewery as one of the top producers in the UK according to SIBA's esteemed panel of independent experts.

The SIBA Independent Beer Awards, held annually, are a pinnacle of recognition within the brewing industry, showcasing the finest offerings from independent breweries across the nation.

Anneli Baxter, SIBA Competitions Chair, lauded the achievements of the breweries honoured, remarking:

“It is a pleasure to see so many superb beers from independent breweries of all sizes taking home in this year’s awards.

"It is incredibly tough to win a category Gold at a regional level, so to then go on and be named as one of the very best in the whole of the UK at the National Awards is a massive achievement that these brewers should be hugely proud of."

Father and sons team George, Fergus & Edward Bristow founded the brewery during lockdown of 2021, having had no prior commercial brewing experience, and George said of their Silver Award:

“This is truly overwhelming.

"To set up an ambitious new project like Wight Knuckle Brewery, bringing craft beer to the Isle Of Wight, and to take home a national award like this is a true testament to the hard work of the entire team.

"For us to win a regional award was more than we could have imagining, and to follow that up with recognition at a national level is truly incredible experience."

Wight Knuckle Brewery's success underscores its commitment to crafting exceptional brews since its establishment in 2021.

This latest accolade comes off the back of their significant investment in a new brewing site at Nunwell Farm, Brading, which has expanded capacity 4x from their original location at The Pilot Boat Inn.

The SIBA Independent Beer Awards 2024 were held during BeerX, the UK’s largest beer and brewing trade event, hosted at Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

This year's event attracted over 3,000 delegates to a bustling conference featuring talks, seminars, tasting sessions, and the highly anticipated beer awards ceremony, which celebrates the very best in the independent beer industry.

Wight Knuckle Brewery extends its gratitude to SIBA and its supporters, and looks forward to continuing its journey of brewing excellence and innovation.
