Age UK Calling All Adrenaline Junkies To Take Part In Summer Leap

Age UK Isle of Wight is looking for adventurous fundraisers to take on the challenge of a sponsored tandem skydive from more than 12,000ft.

The leap, which will take place from Sandown Airport on Tuesday August 9, offers a virtually unrivalled aerial view of the Island.

Skydivers will experience freefall adrenaline at speeds approaching 120 miles per hour, followed by a stunning canopy ride back down to earth.

Elisha Leachman, Fundraising Manager, said:

“This year we have teamed up with Wight Fire & Security to support brave jumpers who want to tick something off their bucket list while helping a great local charity.

"Age UK Isle of Wight is an independent charity, and all fundraising support we receive stays on the Island to support older people to live well independently”

How to get involved

Brave fundraisers can secure their seat in the plane today with an £80 payment and commitment to fundraise a minimum sponsorship of £400 for Age UKIW.

Each skydiver is provided with a fundraising pack and supported along their way to help reach their goal.
