Love Island Stars Recreate Iconic Statues Across UK

To mark the launch of the 2022 series, Love Island has taken over iconic statues depicting romance across the UK.

Fans can spot 2021 finalists, Teddy Soares and Faye Winter, mimic the famous Rodin’s Kiss outside the Tate Modern in London (where the exhibition recently stood), famous for embracing the true sense of sensuality and romance, and 2020 winners Paige Turley and Finley Tapp replicate the insta-worthy Wincher’s Stance statue in Glasgow, which is known for being named after the Glaswegian term for a relationship.

Host Laura Whitmore provides a modern take on the iconic Piccadilly Circus’ Eros Statue as a modern day cupid. She said:

“There’s no doubt that Love Island is the OG of dating shows. With the show coming back on screens in early June, we’re really owning love this summer by taking over some of the nation’s iconic statues – with me naturally replicating the Eros statue as cupid. It’s truly a season of love so stay tuned!”

The new series of Love Island starts on June 6 on ITV2.
