Arnold Schwarzenegger Fills 'Giant' Pothole Himself After Waiting Weeks For Repair

Arnold Schwarzenegger became so sick of a "giant" pothole in a Los Angeles neighbourhood that he decided to repair it himself.

The actor and former California governor released a video showing him and his team pouring out concrete to repair the road in the Brentwood area.

He said:

"Today, after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole that's been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it.

"I always say, let's not complain, let's do something about it. Here you go."

In the video Schwarzenegger is greeted by a neighbour, who thanks the star for repairing the pothole.

"You're welcome," the actor responds.

"You have to do it yourself. This is crazy.

"For three weeks I've been waiting for this hole to be closed."

Daniel Ketchell, a spokesperson for Schwarzenegger, said Brentwood residents made several requests for repairs since winter storms opened up potholes and cracks on local roads.

In comments responding to the video he posted on Twitter, fans commended the actor for his actions.

"Love to see it, former Gov. out fixing potholes," one user said

"Great job!" another said.

Potholes are areas of a road where the surface layer has developed cracks and broken away - forming a hole.

They usually form from surface cracks, water and traffic. Small surface cracks can expand over time due to the amount of traffic.

Water can then get into the cracks of the pavement and expand during freezing weather.
