Woman Found Dead At Newport Address As Police Treat Death As Unexplained

Police are treating the death of a woman in her 40s as unexplained after she was found at a property in Newport.

Officers were called to an address in Berry Close, on the Pan Estate, at around 14:50 on Saturday following concerns for the welfare of a woman.

Emergency services, including ambulance crews, attended the scene. Despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the address.

Her next of kin have been informed.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed the death is being treated as unexplained, and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.
