Two 17-Year-Olds Arrested After Sandown High Street Fire

Two 17-year-old boys from Ventnor have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a property in Sandown.

Police were alerted to the incident on High Street shortly after 3.30am on Sunday (11 October) by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.

Both teenagers have been bailed until Monday 11 January 2027 while enquiries continue.

Officers say extensive investigations are under way to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
