The Griffin To Shut Its Doors As New Chapter Beckons

The Griffin pub is to close temporarily, with its current team inviting customers to a final farewell evening on Friday 6 November.

In a message shared on social media, the pub thanked its customers and the local community for their support over the years.

It said:

“The Griffin has been more than just a pub – it’s been a place where we’ve celebrated the small moments and the big occasions together.”

The bar will remain open until 11pm on 6 November, giving customers a chance to say goodbye to the current team.

However, the closure is not expected to be permanent.

The pub says it will reopen under new management after a short break, with the incoming team looking forward to welcoming customers back.

The pub has not yet announced further details about the reopening.
