Death Of Man Found Unresponsive In Sandown Confirmed Following Weekend Welfare Call-Out

Police have confirmed the death of a man who was found unconscious in Sandown at the weekend.

Officers were called at 12:49pm on Sunday (1st March) following concerns for the welfare of the man, who was found unresponsive at an address on Leed Street.

Officers attended the scene, and have now confirmed that a 55-year-old man from Sandown has died.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained, but is not believed to be suspicious at this time.

Enquiries remain ongoing.

A file is being prepared for the Coroner.
