Jazz-funk legends Level 42 are set to make their long-awaited debut at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2026 – marking a special homecoming for the band formed on the Island in 1979.

Despite a career spanning more than four decades and sales of over 30 million albums worldwide, this will be the first time the group has performed at the festival.

Known for hits including “Lessons in Love” and “Something About You”, Level 42 remain one of Britain’s most successful exports of recent years.

Bassist and lead vocalist Mark King, an Isle of Wight native, said:

“Level 42 are so excited to be playing the Isle of Wight Festival 2026 and look forward to bringing (our) music home at last.”

The announcement comes as organisers confirm day tickets for the 2026 event will go on sale from 4pm on February 27 via the official festival website.

The festival returns from June 18–21, giving fans the chance to attend on the day of their choice.

Headlining across the weekend will be Lewis Capaldi on Friday June 19 following his chart-topping comeback and sold-out UK tour, Grammy-winning DJ Calvin Harris on Saturday June 20, and rock and indie icons The Cure closing the festival on Sunday night.

The Cure return after 16 years, bringing music from Songs of a Lost World alongside their classic back catalogue.

Also joining the bill are Isle of Wight fivesome Wet Leg, The Last Dinner Party, Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, Tom Grennan, Teddy Swims, The Kooks, Anastacia, KT Tunstall, Joel Corry, The K's, Alessi Rose and many more.
