Isle Of Wight Grants Offer £10,000 For Inclusive Activities

Grants of up to £10,000 are available to organisations on the Isle of Wight to help children and young people with disabilities and additional needs access more activities.
The Isle of Wight Council’s Short Breaks programme aims to fund inclusive clubs, sports, arts projects, youth groups and childcare for young people aged up to 19 with special educational needs and disabilities.
The scheme also gives parents and carers a break while their children take part in safe and enjoyable activities.
Charities, community groups, businesses and some school providers can apply, with school-based projects required to be open to eligible children across the Island.
Two free information sessions will be held at County Hall in Newport on Saturday (October 17), from 10am to 11am, and Wednesday (October 21), from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
To attend, email short.breaks@iow.gov.uk or call 823169.
Applications close at midday on October 26. More information and application details are available at iow.gov.uk/shortbreaksgrants.
