With Isle of Wight Council elections set for May 7, several current councillors have confirmed they will not be standing again.
Among them is Peter Spink, who represents Freshwater North and Yarmouth, along with Joe Robertson (Bembridge), Joe Lever (Carisbrooke and Gunville), Richard Quigley (Cowes North), David Adams (Nettlestone and Seaview) and Geoff Brodie (Pan and Barton).
Many others have confirmed they will seek re-election, including Jonathan Bacon (Brading and St Helens), Karl Love (East Cowes), Michael Lilley (Ryde Appley and Elmfield) and Phil Jordan (Ryde North West).
However, a large number of councillors have yet to confirm their intentions.
The elections were postponed from last year, with those elected set to serve until May 2029.
Polling cards are being sent out from March 23, and the deadline to register to vote is April 20.
