The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary is searching for 50 brave fundraisers to take part in a spectacular high wire challenge to launch its 50th anniversary celebrations.

The Wildheart Wire Walk will take place on Saturday 2nd May, with participants tackling a 70-metre high wire suspended above the Sanctuary’s grounds in Sandown.

Described as the ultimate test of balance and bravery, the challenge will see fundraisers make their way across the wire with views over the Sanctuary and Sandown Bay — and with some of the charity’s resident big cats nearby.

Those taking part will be raising vital funds to support the Sanctuary’s ongoing work rescuing, rehabilitating and providing lifelong care for animals in need.

Lorraine White, Head of Community, Events and Partnerships, said:

“We’re hugely excited to share the first fundraising event of our 50th Anniversary Year.
"The Wildheart Wire Walk is the perfect opportunity for those looking to challenge themselves and support a great cause at the same time, and the views of our Sanctuary and Sandown Bay from the top of the high wire are bound to be something you don’t forget in a hurry.”

The event is kindly sponsored by Careprint UK.

Anyone interested in taking part can find out more and secure their place via the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary website.
