Appeal Following Fatal Collision In Newport

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision in Newport.
Police were called at 3.12pm on Monday, 28 July to reports of a collision on Briddlesford Road.
The collision involved a Ford Kuga and Kawasaki motorcycle.
Sadly, despite best efforts of emergency services, a 58-year-old man, who was the rider of the motorcycle, died at the scene.
The pillion passenger, a 53-year-old woman, has been taken to hospital with life changing injuries.
Their family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
As part of the investigation, police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has relevant dash cam footage capturing the incident or the moments leading up to it.
