Local Heroes In Lockdown
Isle of Wight Radio's Local Heroes in Lockdown Nominations
For the past 12 years, Isle of Wight Radio has celebrated local heroes across the Island with an annual awards ceremony. This year may be a little different, but we believe the Island's good samaritans deserve recognition, and we want to say thank you in a very special way.
Do you know somebody who made life a little easier for a neighbour or loved one throughout lockdown, collecting shopping or just offering a friendly face from afar? Or maybe the local shop went the extra mile, delivering much-needed supplies to locals in isolation. We want to hear about it, no matter how small the deed. Those little efforts have helped make the past year a little brighter for so many.
From individuals to businesses, both big and small, carers, charity workers, good neighbours and caring family members and friends.
Nominations are now open, so get online and tell us who your local hero is.
Isle of Wight Radio's Local Heroes Awards are made possible by our friends at WightFibre.
Nominations are now closed. Thanks to everone who nominated, we will be announcing the winners next week on Isle of Wight Radio.
