WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Win A Pair Of Adult Tickets To The Chale Show
Congratulations to our winners - Belinda Easter, Kelly Young, Alison Crain, Mary Towle and Sue Fraser!
We've got FIVE sets of tickets to give away to the return of this famous Island horticultural event!
Taking place on 6 and 7 August at the Chale recreation ground, this famous show returns for the first time since 2019!
The Chale Show Horticultural Marquee is the focal point of the show - over 1500 entries into 240 classes requires one very big marquee! Classes span a number of different disciplines including Vegetable, Floral, Cookery, Handicraft, Art and Photography. Judging takes place until lunchtime on Saturday, after which the entries are on show to the public.
The show’s main arena will be playing host to many top national and international display teams, including Extreme Bike Battle, Atkinsons Horses, vintage and military vehicles, vintage tractors and steam vehicles, stunning falconry flying displays by Haven Falconry and a very magic show by veteran magician David Randini. Children’s races and magic show are also set to take place during the day!
And don't forget about the live music which will be going on - the Mountbatten Sunflower Music Stage showcases some of the best musical talent on the Isle of Wight! There are live performances throughout the weekend from bands performing a range of different genres. The stage raises money for the local Mountbatten Hospice, so please give generously if you spend some time watching the bands and enjoying a drink from the bar.
In order to win one of five pairs of adult tickets to attend on either Saturday 6 or Sunday 7 August, all you need to do is comment below, telling us who you'd like to take for a day out and why! We'll pick our favourite entries and post the winners here.
The competition closes on Wednesday 3 August - best of luck!
