The chief executive of the region's new combined authority says devolution could unlock billions in investment and give the Isle of Wight a stronger voice with Government.

Existing councils, including the Isle of Wight Council, will continue to deliver day-to-day local services.

The Isle of Wight's transport links, skills and economic growth could receive a boost after a new regional authority with access to £1.3 billion in funding was formally established.
