Plans to replace a former social services building with ten new affordable homes are set to go before the Isle of Wight Council’s planning committee today.

Fewer affordable housing units but a higher volume of homes could be built under changes proposed to the Isle of Wight’s new local plan.

Around £25 million of capital spending for affordable housing has been earmarked in the council’s 2025/26 budget, but this remains “subject to business case.”
