Wootton Welcomes Temporary Return Of Post Office

A Post Office is returning to Wootton, albeit temporarily and only for one day a week.

The village has been without one since the High Street branch closed in November 2020.

From tomorrow (Wednesday), services will be restored thanks to an Outreach hub.

The Postmaster from Godshill Post Office has agreed to host the service, which will be based at the Parish Council office on Brannon Way every Wednesday between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Graham Brander, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said:

“We are delighted to be restoring Post Office service to Wootton Bridge as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. We thank the Postmaster for Godshill for providing this service.”

The Hosted Outreach will be operated from Parish Council Office, 5 Joannes Walk, Brannon Way, Wootton Bridge, PO33 4NX.
