Adults and children will be taking to the sand at Ryde for the Wight Wave Beach Festival this weekend.
The event officially kicks off today (Friday), and features a collection of competitive sports over three days.
On-beach activities include Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer, Beach Running, Foot-volley, Beach Netball, Beach-Tennis, Beach Rugby, Paddle Board Racing and Open Water lifesaving competitions.
There is also on-shore music, entertainment and locally sourced food and drink.
Hundreds of competitors - of all ages - are expecting to descend on the golden sands of Appley Beach, to compete in the largest beach sports event of its kind in the UK.
