Volunteers Needed For Isle Of Wight Donkey Sanctuary

Volunteers are needed at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.

Staff at the site in Wroxall need people to help out during the summer holidays from 18 July to 5 September.

Jobs will include:

  • working in the shop
  • working in the café
  • working in the car park
  • meeting and greeting people
  • organising adoptions
  • donkey spotting
  • helping on the information trail

As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, East Cowes firm DJF Gardening Maintenance has launched a fundraiser for the charity that they say is "close to their hearts".

Kacey Fereday and her Father want to raise money to build a new barn for the rescued Frech herd of donkeys.

The site was also subject to vandalism recently, as first reported by Isle of Wight Radio.

The recruitment weekend for new volunteers is on July 3 and 4 from 11am until 3pm.

If you would like to meet some new friends, spend time with the donkeys contact Tracy Hawkes at tracy.hawkes@iowdonkeysanctuary.org
