VIDEO: Meet Internet Sensation Kenny — The Isle Of Wight Labrador With Dwarfism

A black Labrador from the Isle of Wight has gone viral after a rare condition stunted the growth in his legs.

Kenny, an eleven-month-old pup, is often mistaken for a sausage dog because his legs are shorter than the rest of his body.

He has the same-sized head, body and tail as an average Labrador, but dwarfism means his legs won't grow any longer than they currently are.

Islander Keelin Scholes, 25, welcomed Kenny to the family in November last year.

It was only a few months later that she became concerned by his growth. A visit to the vet ensued and it was there she was told that something wasn't quite right.

Keelin told Isle of Wight Radio:

"When we took him for his three month check up, the vets said he wasn’t growing properly for a normal Lab but had never seen it before.

"We then found out from the Kennel Club that the Mum and Dad carried SD2 - a form of dwarfism."

Kenny has amassed quite the following on TikTok.

One of his videos (posted above) has surpassed 225,000 views, and that figure is continuing to rise.

Kenny has also become a bit of a celebrity on the Island, too. Keelin says she is often asked question about the Lab's bread.

She said:

"Every time we take him either it be Ventnor Down, Sandown/Shanklin seafront we get stopped and asked what our dog is and what breed he is, some people have the cheek to even argue with us!

"He’s famous when we go on walks on the Island."
