A 26-year-old man from Ventnor has been arrested after an incident in Newport last night (Thursday).
Police were called to a property at 11.46pm on High Street following reports of a disturbance.
Officers say a 25-year-old woman, a 40-year-old woman and 23-year-old woman were assaulted during the incident.
A 26-year-old remains in custody.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
'We were called at 11.46pm yesterday, 9 September, to reports of a disturbance at an address on High Street, Newport, after a 25-year-old woman was assaulted.
'A 50-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were also assaulted in the incident.
'A 26-year-old man from Ventnor was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody at this time.'
