Two parking ticket machines were vandalised at Park Road car park in Cowes last night (Tuesday) causing disruption to users, many of whom commute to Southampton.

The car park, which belongs to Northwood House Charitable Trust, provides a vital income stream for the charity to help with looking after Northwood House and surrounding parkland on behalf of the community.

The vandalism, which put the ticket machines out of action for a number of hours, occurred during the hours of darkness.

Northwood House Charitable Trust and the local police are appealing for witnesses.

If you have any information which may be relevant, you can report it by calling 101, or the charity’s head office on 01983 293642.
