Two Men Charged Following Ventnor Rooftop Stand-Off

Two men have been charged following an incident in Ventnor.

Police attended Lowtherville Road in Ventnor shortly before 4.15pm on July 29 in response to a public order incident which involved two men on a roof.

In a separate incident, officers have been investigating a burglary which took place in the early hours of the morning on Sunday June 20, at an address in Albert Street in Ventnor.

It’s alleged that during this incident, a man in the address was assaulted before items including a mobile phone and wallet were stolen.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said:

"Nino Bear Cavanagh, aged 28, of Kestrel Way in Carisbrooke, and Lewis Morera-Morgan, aged 21 years, of Trinity Road in Ventnor, have both been remanded in custody and charged with affray, criminal damage, threats to kill, burglary, and causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the above two investigations."
