Travel Update For Isle Of Wight As Storm Franklin Blows In

Isle of Wight travel services are likely to be disrupted over the next 24 hours, with high winds continuing and another yellow weather warning issued.

The Met Office has named Storm Franklin today (Sunday) with high winds, reaching up to 80mph, expected to continue into Monday afternoon.

Hovertravel

Services are cancelled due to adverse weather. Next Update 12:30. Tickets will be accepted on the fastcat service. Please see our Disruption Contingency Plan web page.

Wightlink

All routes are currently running on time. If there are any changes to our services the company will update its website and issue Tweets where needed.

Red Funnel

The 'debris' which earlier caused some disruption to the service has been removed from Red Jet 6.

Red Funnel says its sailings are now running to the scheduled timetable.

Southern Vectis

Due to the predicted high winds on Military Road today, route 12 buses will not be able to serve Freshwater Bay, Military Road or Brook Chine today.

Your nearest stops will be Brook Triangle and School Green Road. Customers will also be able to use the bus stops on Afton Road.
