Three Men Arrested Following Aggravated Burglary In Ryde

Three people have been arrested by armed police on the Isle of Wight following an aggravated burglary in Ryde.

Police said that at around 9.45pm on Tuesday (2), entry was forced to an address on Ashey Road and threats were made towards the occupants.

Nothing was stolen and no-one was reported to be injured.

Specialist officers were brought over from the mainland as part of an investigation into the incident.

It's been confirmed that the arrests were made on Flint Path at Bluebell Meadows in Newport in the early hours of this morning.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said:

We believe this was a targeted incident and there is no risk to the wider public.

“Three 29-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remain in custody at this time.”
