Temperatures Set To Hit Mid-30s On The Isle Of Wight

Temperatures are set to hit the mid-30s this week on the Isle of Wight.

The mercury is set to climb as the week progresses, with the IW Met Service predicting temperatures of up to 34.C.

The UV is high and a Level 3 Heat Alert is in place for the Island.

Tuesday

A sunny hot day with clear skies and cooling sea breezes.
Temperature 27-29°C.
Wind east-northeast 5-11mph but with onshore coastal breezes developing.

Wednesday

A hot and sunny day with clear skies throughout.
Temperature 29-31.C in a light easterly breeze, but with onshore coastal breezes developing in the afternoon.

Thursday 

Another sunny and very hot day ahead, with clear skies across the island.
Temperature 31-33.C in a light easterly breeze, although once again we will see onshore coastal breezes developing during the afternoon.

Friday 


Very hot again with clear skies throughout the day. Onshore sea breezes will keep it cooler around the coasts.
Temperature 32-34.C in a light easterly breeze, but again with onshore coastal breezes developing.

The Weekend 

Remaining very hot and sunny throughout, although into next week we are seeing hints of a breakdown and perhaps even some rain at long last!
Temperature 30-34.C in light winds, but onshore sea breezes still making an appearance during the afternoons.
