Temperatures Could Top 30.C On The Isle Of Wight

Temperatures on the Isle of Wight are set to top 30.c this week.

The Island is bracing itself for a heatwave over the next few days as temperatures creep up.

As reported by Isle of Wight Radio yesterday (Monday), the Island is expected to experience highs of around 30.c - possibly higher.

The IW Met Service said:

Tuesday

"Fine, sunny and warm island wide although perhaps a little cooler on windward coasts. Temperature 23.c to 25.c but closer to 20’c on windward coasts. Wind SE 9-16mph."

Wednesday

"We start to see real heat developing as the warm air continues to push northwards from the continent. Temperatures will likely reach the mid to high 20s away from windward coasts, with a few central parts of the Island seeing temperatures close to 30c."

Thursday

"Showing some divergence in the models, but at present it seems likely that the very warm or hot weather is likely to continue across the southern part of the UK and the IOW, possibly with a few thundery showers. Temperatures will be in the mid to high 20s Celsius once again in light to moderate breezes."

Friday

"Looks like another very warm day with long sunny spells once again. Temperatures in the mid to high 20s Celsius."
