Snacks And Ladders Fundraising Night Raises More Than £2,400 For Ukraine

Newport's Snacks and Ladders held an evening of games and entertainment last night (Monday) to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Humanitarian Appeal For Ukraine.

Boasting around 50 raffle prizes — many of which were donated by local businesses — all profits from the event will go to the DEC Humanitarian Appeal for the Ukraine.

Special guests at the venue, based at 66 St James Street, included musicians Aaron Meakin and Tink Beadle and the always entertaining Fanny Quivers.

The event, which was hosted by Sue Edwards, was live streamed, with donations from those who came to watch helping to bolster the funds which will help people from the Ukraine.

There is still time to donate via a GoFundMe page.

A spokesperson for Snacks and Ladders said:

"We put the event together in eight days, and (have so far raised) a total of £2463.50.

"Our amazing team gave their time for free, and we do have a GoFundMe page for anyone who wants to donate."
