Freshwater firefighters have been tackling a blaze in the woods at Fort Victoria today (Sunday).
Freshwater’s H79P1 and H79W1 were mobilised to Fort Victoria earlier this afternoon.
Crews say they have given safety advice to the Islanders involved.
The message, they say is 'very simple':
'Don’t start fires in the open'.
