A Sandown man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following an incident in the town.
Hampshire Constabulary says it was called to reports of an attempted rape at an address on Fort Street.
Officers attended an incident on Wednesday (20) at 12.53pm.
A police spokesperson said:
"A 54-year-old man from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
"He has since been released on police conditional bail until Wednesday 18 May."
