Embers from a disused bonfire reignited, prompting a call-out for firefighters this morning (Monday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is reminding Islanders to dispose of their bonfires responsibly.

Firefighters say ash caused grass and tree cuttings to ignite. A crew from Ryde Fire Station were called out.
Posting on Twitter, firefighters said:
"Today's first fire safety message.. ensure flames and Ash are fully out and cooled before disposing of into bins or compost heaps."
