Rescue teams, including coastguard and paramedics, are at the Needles this afternoon (Friday).
Crews were called to Tennyson Down just after 1pm.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said:
"HM Coastguard’s assistance was requested for an incident at the Needles. Ventnor and Needles Coastguard Rescue Teams have been sent together with Isle of Wight Ambulance.
"The incident is ongoing and we have no further information at this time."
