Quiet Hour Announced For Newport's Monkey Haven

The Isle of Wight's Monkey Haven is introducing two dedicated Quiet Hour sessions to its weekly activities.

Quiet Hour is a time for people with hidden disabilities and additional needs, such as autism, to enjoy the Haven.

Sessions run from 9-10am on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the aim of making Monkey Haven more accessible to everyone.

Anyone attending the Quiet Hour is welcome to stay at the park for the day.

The number of visitors during these times is limited to five groups, with up to five members per group, ensuring an enjoyable and comfortable experience.

Normal entrance fees apply, with free entry for a carer — please bring appropriate documentation.

These sessions will start running from Wednesday (June 22), so please pre-book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Monkey Haven's Kelly Wickes said:

"We are thrilled to be offering these new dedicated sessions for visitors wishing to experience a calm and relaxing visit.

"Monkey Haven is set in beautiful grounds and we hope these quiet sessions will enable our visitors to enjoy a tranquil and happy experience at our animal sanctuary."
