Public Order Incident In Ventnor Prompts Police Response

A public order incident in Ventnor prompted a call out for police yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Officers were called just before 5.20pm to reports of a public order incident outside a property in Lowtherville Road.

A 39-year-old woman from Ventnor was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with alcohol above the limit.

Officers say she has been released with no further action to be taken.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said:

"We were called at 5.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 July) to reports of a public order incident outside a property in Lowtherville Road.

"A 39-year-old woman from Ventnor was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with alcohol above the limit but was released with no further action to be taken.

"The incident is under investigation and officers are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances.”
