Plans for nearly 150 houses on the edge of Gunville look set to finally go before planners.
Two applications, full plans for 36 houses and outline for 113, were submitted in November 2019 but now revised plans are back before the Isle of Wight Council.
Ecological and archaeological information has been updated for both sets of plans, which have been proposed by DN Associates.
No changes have been made to the number of houses proposed.
The first phase of works could see the 36 houses built, if approved, as a mixture of two and three-bed houses.
The development would add two roads and extend cul-de-sacs on Arthur Moody Drive and Forest Hills.
The applications also propose upgrading the N151 footpath.
The second phase of a further 113 houses will wrap around the previous ones.
Other developments in Gunville have been given approval on either side of this scheme — a 22-house dwelling from Alvington Manor View and 50 plots off of Ash Lane.
If the 149 houses get approved, the Gunville area could expand by 221 houses.
The original design and access statement for the development proposes 35 per cent of the homes will be affordable — roughly 52 of the 149.
