Police Appeal After 45 Year Old Man Dies In Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a crash on the Isle of Wight.

Officers were called to Ningwood Hill, Shalfleet following reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a Silver Renault LL29 Van at 1.40am yesterday morning (Saturday).

The 45-year-old driver from the Isle of Wight died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Hampshire Constabulary said:

“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area prior to the collision, to contact us.

“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see the vehicle before the collision or maybe you have dash-cam footage?
